On September 5, 2006 the North East Democratic Association was Chartered by Secretary of State,  as a non-profit, public benefit corporation, with members.  The incorporators are Janie Barnes, Trent Harris and Marion Light.  An annual report shall be filed prior to April 1st of a calendar year. Failure to do so will result in the Corporation being administratively dissolved by the Secretary of State.

As required also, the Charter has been filed with the Washington County Register of Deed's office in Jonesborough, Tennessee on September 11, 2006. The Corporation received their Employee Identification Number  (EIN) from the IRS on  October 10, 2007.  In lieu of this action, the Corporation's checking account now is  listed as a Commerical Account with 1st Tennessee Bank. No longer will the account need to transferred when the Corporation's Treasurer changes..
